The Ivy Cottage, Walsall, West Midlands

Stealth Hidden home cinema, Home automation, lighting control, heating control, gate access, Keyless entry, CCTV, High-end hi-fi and distributed audio

Installed circa 2008

The Client had a very strong idea of what they wanted and their brief demanded that they should have something unique, clean & sophisticated, ensuring to add to the charm and character of their Victorian house; not take it away.

The lounge TV was not to be so high as to be uncomfortable to view (a common occurrence). They didn’t want the screen to overtake the room and yet because of their love of movies a large projector screen was desirable, but only if there was absolutely no sign of it or the projector when not in use.

Sound quality was paramount; a no-compromise approach was requested. Especially for two channel music as the client’s (a musician) CD collection is vast, varied and frequently used.
